Questions, answered
Don't see yours? Ask us on a call. You'll get a straight answer.
Do you only work in Webflow?
Webflow is our primary platform and where we do most of our development work, but we regularly work alongside a broader stack depending on the project.
That often includes custom code, APIs, Shopify, Memberstack, Make.com automations, analytics tools, CMS migrations, and other third-party integrations.
We care more about building the right system than forcing a particular platform.
Can you migrate our site from WordPress to Webflow?
Yes, and honestly it's one of our favorite kinds of projects.
A lot of clients come to us feeling stuck with WordPress. The most common things we hear: plugins that haven't been updated in years, mysterious security vulnerabilities, slow load times that nobody can quite diagnose, and a backend editing experience that the marketing team quietly dreads. Maintaining the site starts to feel like its own part-time job.
Webflow addresses most of those pain points directly. No constant chasing plugin updates, performance is strong out of the box, and the editor is intuitive enough that most clients can make content updates confidently without needing a developer involved every time.
We handle the full migration, content, structure, design, and redirects, and typically use the transition as an opportunity to tighten up the overall site experience at the same time. Most clients come out the other side with something faster, easier to maintain, and genuinely nicer to work in.
Can Quiet Signal help with design only?
Absolutely.
Some clients bring us in specifically for product design, UX strategy, feature iteration, landing pages, or design systems inside Figma. Others need help refining an existing brand or improving the usability of a current platform before development begins.
We're comfortable operating as a design partner, a development partner, or both.
Can Quiet Signal work alongside our internal team?
Definitely. A large portion of our work happens in collaboration with internal marketing teams, developers, operations teams, or leadership groups.
Sometimes we lead the project directly. Other times we plug into an existing workflow as a fractional design and development partner.
We try to adapt to the way your team already works rather than creating unnecessary process.
Can you improve an existing site instead of rebuilding everything?
Yes, and in many cases, that's the smarter approach.
Not every project needs a full redesign. Sometimes the best solution is refining what already exists through better UX, cleaner structure, improved performance, stronger messaging, or more scalable systems behind the scenes.
We're comfortable working incrementally when that makes the most sense.
Do you help with copywriting and messaging?
Yes, though usually in a collaborative way.
We often help clients simplify messaging, improve clarity, structure content, and create a stronger overall narrative throughout a site or product experience.
Some clients come with finalized copy. Others want more strategic involvement. We're comfortable working either way.
Why do you use Webflow?
We've built sites on Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress (with builders like Divi and Elementor), so we know the tradeoffs firsthand. Webflow gives us the flexibility to build custom websites without creating unnecessary complexity for the people managing them. We can create detailed designs, structured content systems, and connected experiences while giving marketing teams more control over everyday updates.
It's not the right platform for every possible project, but for the kinds of websites we build, it's a great fit.
What's the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one piece of your visual identity. A complete identity includes the colors, typography, imagery, and other elements that give your business a recognizable look and feel. We design those pieces to work together, not independently.
What kinds of things can you automate?
Most of our automation work connects websites, CRMs, and marketing tools. Common examples include routing form submissions, syncing lead information, triggering notifications, updating records, and connecting services that don't communicate directly.
Do you offer ongoing Webflow maintenance and support?
Yes. We help with website updates, troubleshooting, performance improvements, CMS changes, new pages, and more. Some clients need regular monthly support, while others bring us in for specific projects.
Do you design websites exclusively for Webflow?
Webflow is our preferred development platform, and we design with its capabilities in mind. But we work in Figma, and those files can be handed off to another development team when needed.
Can you build from designs we already have?
Absolutely. We regularly work with existing Figma designs, whether they come from an internal team or another agency. We'll review the designs and flag any potential Webflow limitations before development begins.
Can you refresh our existing brand instead of replacing it?
Definitely. Sometimes the best solution is building on what already works. We can refine your logo, create a more consistent visual system, or help bring an older identity up to date.
Which platforms do you work with?
We commonly work with Webflow, Make, Zapier, HubSpot, and other tools used by marketing teams. If you're using something different, we'll look at its integration options and let you know what's possible.
Can you support a Webflow site you didn't build?
Absolutely. We'll start by reviewing the existing website so we understand how it's structured, what's working, and whether anything needs attention before we begin.
Can you redesign our website without starting from scratch?
Absolutely. Not every website needs a complete rebuild. Sometimes a better page structure, refreshed design, or improved user experience is enough. We'll help you figure out which approach makes sense.
Can you migrate our website from WordPress to Webflow?
Yes. We can help plan and execute a migration, including content, CMS structure, URL mapping, and redirects. We also review technical SEO considerations to reduce the risk of losing search visibility during the move.
Do you also help with brand messaging?
Our branding work focuses primarily on visual identity. We'll discuss positioning and personality as part of discovery, but comprehensive messaging strategy and copywriting are separate services or scopes.
Do we need to use Webflow?
Webflow is our specialty, and many of our integrations start with a Webflow website. We can also work with other connected systems when they fit the project.
Do we need a monthly retainer?
Not necessarily. We offer different arrangements depending on the scope and frequency of work. Sometimes ongoing support is the right fit. Other times, a specific project makes more sense.
Will you also build the website?
Yes. We're a Webflow agency, so we can take your project from design through development and launch. Keeping both sides together often makes for a smoother process.
Will our team be able to update the website without you?
That's the goal. We build with the people who will maintain the website in mind. You'll receive training and documentation so your team can confidently handle everyday content updates.
Will our new brand work beyond the website?
Yes. While we bring a strong digital perspective, we design identities to work across web, print, presentations, social media, and other brand applications.
Can you improve automations we already have?
Yes. If your current workflows are unreliable, confusing, or more complicated than they need to be, we can review the setup and recommend improvements.
How do you decide what to improve?
We look at your goals, website performance, analytics, and the issues your team is experiencing. Then we help prioritize the work based on potential impact, effort, and what's most important to your business.
How long does website design take?
It depends on the number of pages, complexity of the design, and how much needs to be figured out along the way. We'll provide a realistic timeline based on your project, rather than making everyone fit the same schedule.
Do you use AI to build websites?
We use modern tools, including AI-assisted development workflows, when they help us work more efficiently. That might mean speeding up repetitive tasks, exploring solutions, or working across our design and development tools. But we're not handing a prompt to AI and calling it a website. Our team is responsible for the architecture, design implementation, testing, and final product.
Can you also build our website?
Absolutely. As a Webflow agency, we can carry your new identity into a custom website, creating a consistent experience from the first brand concept through launch.
What happens if an automation stops working?
We build with testing, error handling, and maintainability in mind. Third-party services can change, so ongoing monitoring and maintenance may still be needed. We offer support options for teams that want us to help keep things running.
Can you help improve conversion rates?
Yes. We review your key pages and user journeys, find where people are getting stuck, and make focused improvements to reduce friction.
When there's enough traffic to get a clear answer, we also run A/B tests, comparing headlines, layouts, or calls to action against the current version and keeping what performs better.
Do you help with website copywriting?
We focus primarily on website strategy, user experience, and visual design. We'll help you organize your content and identify where messaging needs work, but full copywriting is a separate scope. If you need help with that, we'll talk through the best approach.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Some clients manage everything themselves after handoff. Others keep us involved for new features, improvements, and ongoing support. We're happy with either approach.
What if we only need occasional help?
That's fine too. We don't expect every client to need the same level of support. If there's a specific Webflow issue, new feature, or set of improvements you need help with, let's talk.
Do you help with analytics and reporting?
Yes. We set up (or clean up) tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, track the actions that matter to your business, like form submissions, booked calls, and purchases, and make sure the numbers can be trusted.
For ongoing clients, we send regular reports in plain language: what changed, what we think it means, and what we'd do next.
Can you help with SEO and AEO?
Yes. On the SEO side, we handle the technical foundation: site structure, page titles and descriptions, redirects, schema markup, site speed, and making sure search engines can crawl and index every page.
AEO (answer engine optimization) is about showing up in AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google's AI Overviews. That comes down to clear, well-structured content and the right markup, so those tools can understand what you do and cite you.
We won't promise rankings. We'll make sure your site gives you the best possible chance.
